The small Belgian team excelled at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Nanjing, securing three final spots and a silver medal for Eliott Crestan in the 800 meters. Rani Rosius and Michael Obasuyi showcased their speed by reaching the finals of the 60 meters and 60-meter hurdles, finishing seventh and fifth, respectively. Ruben Verheyden ran the fourth-fastest time in the heats but was unlucky with his heat and did not advance. These strong performances put Belgian athletics in the spotlight ahead of the summer.
